I’m prepping for another tour starting next Wednesday. I was talking to my roommate about what I’m bringing/requesting food-wise and he thought it seemed really interesting, so I thought I’d share with all of you as well. I’m pasting our rider below, and then elaborating on some of the weirder…

Yesterday we spent a fun half-hour on Wakey!Wakey!’s Facebook page, where Mike answered as many questions as he could. There were almost 200 questions in the short time so there’s still much to be answered in future occasions. (Next one is already this Sunday!)
Here you can reread Mike’s answers in an easier way:
“OK, to start, regarding the touring questions. I have my US bookers putting something together for January right now. We’ll likely be coming overseas right after. I’d like to hit all of the same cities we hit last year in Europe, and a few more this time!”
“Here’s the story on the new album- I’ve been working my butt off on the writing end. So far I have 56 songs done. Now we’re trying to get the business side of things together. I’m hoping we can get the album out as soon as March of next year.”
“There’s also a possibility that we’ll release an EP in the meantime. Next week we’ll post a question asking if people would prefer a 5 song EP to be released sooner, or a full album that takes a bit longer.”
“I loved singing with Joy at the Rock the Schools concert. I can’t say that we’re going into any studios any time soon, but I can say that we’re friends, we grab coffee when we’re in the same city, and I never say never!”
“Molly, the next wakey weekly will be next sunday, and I’m gonna post a link at the end of the QnA!”
“Will, I started playing piano when I was 5. My mom was a piano teacher, and my family was all musicians, so that had a great impact on me.”
“Emily, we’re hoping to collaborate with a few guest artists on this upcoming album for sure. Can’t say who though.”
“Bands I like now/getting a lot of spins- Imagine Dragons is my new fav
I also just made a new playlist with a ton of classics on it. Like the Rolling Stones, and Buddy Holly, and Bob Dylan. I’m trying to listen to great works!”
“Anistasya, when I run out of things to write about I sit in front of my piano and bang my head on a wall until more songs fall out… haha I think the brain is a muscle, so the more you exercise it, the more it makes great ideas!”
“no Lali, I wasn’t in Paris last month, unfortunately.”
“Regarding people that send me songs on Twitter, I get a lot of messages on Twitter, and I try to read every one, but my app broke last month, so I haven’t lately. I always appreciate songs and letters though!”
(What’s your favorite British band?)
“Delphine, I love To Kill a King.”
“I love all the new German fans. I can’t wait to get back!”
“Did everyone hear our new song that leaked?”
“Working on One Tree Hill was amazing. I made a ton of great friends, and I’m really grateful for all the new fans as well!”
“Jennifer, the song I sang with Bethany at RTS was called Irresistible and will definitely be on our album!”
“OK. 3 more questions. Maria, the Almost Everything album was sort of a love letter. It was a way of me working through a really big year of my life. I’ll never say exactly what it meant to me, because I don’t want people to think of that when they hear it. I want them to think of what it means to them.”
“Great Question Lena! She wants to know how different this album sounds from Almost Everything. I think it has a ton of characteristics from that album, but represents a growth from me as a writer. It’s got a lot more upbeat songs on it, but I hope it won’t lose any of the intimacy, or intensity AE had. I think that you’ll all really like it.”
“Fake last question- Chris Cubeta asked who our favorite producer is… haha. For those that don’t know, Mr Cubeta is the producer of Almost Everything. Everyone say hi!”
“I see a lot of requests for an acoustic version of Wake Up (Lily I Love You). Maybe I should get on that this week.”
(About Almost Everything: it means a hell of a lot to me, that’s for sure..)
“Thanks Will. You guys mean a lot to me, as well.”
“Regarding Poland, You guys are a goal for us on this next album, so I’m hoping so!”
“And my last comment- Thank you all for coming today, scroll up to see where I answered a few of the newer questions earlier. Grab a ticket here- bitly.com/WWeekly9 to come to our weekly stage it show next week, and ask any questions I didn’t get to today! Love you guys, and see you soon!”
So yes, thanks guys! Keep in touch and see you on Sunday!
Hey guys!

Wakey!Wakey! Facebook has turned into a bit of a party central with Mike’s Cover Party! This week Mike has given us three amazing new covers and again next week there are many more awesome songs coming up.
The Last Wakey!Wakey! World Domination Mission is sharing one (or more) of the new covers with someone!
You can find all the covers here.
If you have a friend who likes an artist or a song W!W! has covered, recommend the cover to them. Or challenge someone to check out a song, because you think they might be surprised by it. Or if you don’t have any friends who might be interested, Twitter and Tumblr are wonderful places to surprise strangers by being nice to them and striking up a conversation about something interesting. Anything that fits the mission description counts!
Drop me an email to teamwakeywakey(at)gmail.com about what you’ve done by the end of the month for a chance to win a personal thank you/dedication from Mike.
Check out also the first mission of the month. It’s as simple as letting me know what youtube video you’d recommend to all Wakey!Wakey! fans. This month’s winner will be picked randomly from all of this month’s submissions.
Have fun!
love, Tsuua
p.s. This is the last month of WWwdPrep missions, but we are not giving up on having fun or supporting Wakey!Wakey! There will be more projects. I’ll tell more about it later.

Hi there!
A new album is in the works right now! It should be out later on this year.
And it will be amazing! And we’ll keep you posted on how it progresses.
In the meanwhile, have you checked out youtube videos of songs they’ve already been playing live? This one that Mike tweeted about on his birthday.
They also played Olivia (and Anhedonia) last summer and Looked So Good, Cassette Player and Anhedonia on the European Fall Tour.
Thanks for your support!

Happy February!
Thank you for the feedback around New Year’s, many of you said you’d want us to do more fun supportive projects like the Fall Tour Challenge.
That’s why we now start a new challenge: World Domination Preparation!
(Preparation gets shortened as Prep and all of it on twitter as #WWwdPrep)
This is our time to have fun while waiting for Wakey!Wakey!’s next album and get prepared for all great things to come. Not to mention, get the World prepared for falling in love with Wakey!Wakey!
- Every 1st and 15th day of the month we post a new mission
- The missions are again quick and simple
- You can do them just for your own fun, or you can again submit them to teamwakeywakey(at)gmail.com
- In the beginning of the next month I will randomly pick one submission from the past month to win special recognition/dedication/thank you from Mike.
- If some urgent extra missions come up between the dates, you can submit them for extra chances.
(1 submission/month= 1 chance in the month’s random pick, 2 submissions = 2 chances, 3 submissions = 3 chances)
As always, the main thing is to have fun!
Any questions, worries, problems, don’t hesitate to get in touch on twitter, facebook or email: teamwakeywakey(at)gmail.com.
Love,
Tsuua
Ps. From now on You can find all Missions under tag “WWwdPrep Missions”!

For all of you who’ve commented on our new Honda ad, I thought I’d
make a Leap List of my own. For those of you who haven’t seen the
spot, a Leap List is sort of like a bucket list, but for people who
aren’t planning to kick the bucket any time soon. A lot of mine are
things I’d like to see…

I was in the metro, going home after a long day at work, and I grabbed the LAST available daily newspaper in the Parisian metropolitain. I was reading it, and then I saw this :
At the time, I was a big fan of One Tree Hill (and I still am), so obviously I watched the…
Hello from the studio! Just wanted to tell you guys to keep your eyes

I’ve decided I’ll love you as long as it takes
I’ve decided to wait by your bed
I’ve grown used to your darkness lighting my day
And painting your dead flowers redWhen the ashes fall down from the sky
When the smoke and the dust steals your breath and your sight
Just know that it’s you that…

NOTE: The votes are not limited, so you can vote even daily until December 15th!
Whoa.. I’ve spent a good part of the last two days logging and counting all your 234 submitted Fall Tour Challenge activities.
The further I got the more exciting it got: I could hardly breathe when I realized it was going to be a tie between two of our most active participants!

As mentioned above, we received 234 Fall Tour Challenge activity submissions by 22 different people. On top of that I saw a lot of tasks being done, but not submitted to teamwakeywakey(at)gmail.com. Thank you to all of you for the amazing Wakey!Wakey! support!
Here are the Fall Tour Challenge Winners:
Shared Number 1s:
Birte Schwertner &
Julie Compain
Other winners:
Mette Pedersen

I’m meeting up with Mike at the end of the week to finish up and personalize your prizes and they will all be sent out to you early next week!
I’ll be in touch with Birte and Julie about how we’ll handle things with the grand prize. But both of you will be well thanked for the amazing Challenge.
Thank you for the amazing Tour Challenge!
love,
Tsuua

ps. The first picture is Mette’s lovely window submitted for Task 8 and the 2nd Birte’s surprise W!W! lyric love, one of the Task 31 submissions (in case it’s hard to see, there’s a bit of Light Outside lyrics)
It’s the last day of the tour! (no worries, the extra Bristol show is still on for Tuesday..) Before getting onto the final task, I want to say thank you.
It has been an amazing month. The enthusiasm and passion you’ve had for the challenge have inspired myself a lot this month. It has also been a wonderful support for Mike and Tanya on the road. Thank you for that! I hope you’ve enjoyed the challenge.
love,
Tsuua

Operation Beautiful leaves positive, anonymous post-it notes to random public places. Hopefully someone who finds the message gets touched by it or at least can’t help but smile.
Wakey!Wakey! has many lyrics that I know have touched you and all of us. So I challenge you to Task 31 and Operation Wakey!Wakey!:
-Write an inspiring or encouraging Wakey!Wakey! lyric or quote to a post-it note. Write Wakey!Wakey! to the bottom of the note.
-Leave the note somewhere in public. (Get creative! Your room, house, car, etc. do not count)
-Submit the task by emailing to teamwakeywakey(at)gmail.com a picture of the post it note in the place where you left it
Here are few examples of what the post-it note can be like:

Remember to leave the post somewhere where people can see it! Somewhere outside your house!
ps. This task is pretty much a Wakey!Wakey! alteration of Operation Beautiful, check their website if you need ideas!
It’s Friday! Start of the last weekend of Fall Tour Challenge.
So let’s have some fun!
Task 30:
-Take a picture of something that reminds you of Wakey!Wakey!
-Post it somewhere with the story of how it reminds you of Wakey!Wakey!
-Submit to teamwakeywakey(at)gmail.com either link to the post or the pic, story and info, where you posted it
-Could be anything: for example a view, an animal or a person who reminds you of certain Wakey!Wakey! lyrics, song or gig.. Get creative!
Find out more about the Fall Tour Challenge and the other tasks! There’s time to submit tasks until midnight of next Tuesday.
